Carl L Leefe

Carl Louis Leefe, aged 90, died on July 10th, 2018 in his home. He was the loving husband of Joan Brophy Leefe. They shared 58 years of marriage together. Born in New Orleans, he was the son of Alfred Archinard Leefe, DDS, and Edna McCulloch Leefe, DDS. He attended St. Joseph Abbey for six years and Notre Dame Seminary for three years.  Carl served honorably in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.  He graduated from Loyola University Business School in 1955. He was employed at Chevron Oil Company for 31 years. He was a member of St. Pius X Catholic Church. He is survived by his wife Joan, and sons Carl, John, William and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, his sister Mary Alma, and brothers Alfred and John. The funeral mass  will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday July 14 at Saint Pius X Catholic Church 6666 Spanish Fort Blvd. in New Orleans  with internment at St. Joseph Abbey in Saint Benedict, La. on the Northshore.  The visitation will be held from 10 A.M. to 11A.M. when the mass begins.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Joseph Abbey and Seminary 75376 River Road, St. Benedict, LA
