Blake Chalin

Blake Andrew Chalin of Gretna, Louisiana, passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 21, 2021, at age 23. Blake graduated from the University of New Orleans with a degree in Business Administration in May 2021. He then moved to Austin, Texas, where he spent his final days working in sales for Arrive Logistics, a job that he quickly grew to love and that allowed him to use his unrivaled charm.
Since Blake was a toddler, his most prominent traits were his joy for life and sense of humor, which made him easy to love and served as a constant reminder to his family and friends not to take life too seriously. He was a high school wrestler, a college powerlifter, and always a gym companion to his dad.
He was adored and will be missed by his parents Rick Chalin and Stacey Nielsen Chalin; his three older siblings Aimee, Rebecca, and Dane Chalin; his grandparents Jens and Diane Nielsen and Jacquelyn Chalin; his aunts and uncles Jennifer and Stuart Hart, Shelley and Jeff Bergeron, Nancy and Mitch Hosman, Jens and Christy Nielsen, and Leslie and Tommy Romano; and a host of cousins. Blake was preceded in death by his grandfather Frederick Pursglove Chalin, Jr.
You can celebrate Blake’s life by mooning the camera, sipping a Miller Lite, watching the upcoming NBA season, or having lunch with your family.
Services will be held at St. Cletus Catholic Church on Saturday, August 28th with visitation starting at 11 AM and the funeral mass starting at 1:30 PM.
