Betty Bradley Favaloro

October 5, 1959 ~ February 19, 2021 (age 61) 61 Years Old

Tribute

Betty passed away peacefully at home following a lengthy battle with a traumatic brain injury sustained in 1984. Born October 5, 1959, Betty is survived by her adoring husband of 41 years, David Favaloro, brothers Mark (Becky), John, Sue (John) Bradley, sisters in law Joanne Radosta (Jay) and Joy Favaloro and nephew Patrick Istorico (Brenda).
Betty was preceded in death by her parents Nina Mae McClendon Bradley and Emerson Jennings Bradley.  She was a proud graduate of Riverdale High School in 1977 but her greatest achievement was her conversion to Catholicism and marriage blessing to David in 1985. She bravely fought her injuries for 37 years, all while smiling and painting beautiful landscapes and portraits of her favorite animals, most of all Opal, pictured with her. It was her wish to be remembered for her works of art she often gifted to friends and family. Betty, along with her husband David hosted many annual Endymion Mardi Gras parade parties at their Orleans Avenue home.  She had a flair for always selecting the perfect hat to compliment her Queen for a Day costume. She will be missed by all. Friends that wish to pay their respects are invited to join the family for a Memorial Mass at 12:15 PM on Friday, February 26, 2021 at Jacob Schoen & Son, 3827 Canal Street, New Orleans, LA 70119. Visitation will begin at 10:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, donations in Betty's name should be made to the Louisiana SPCA, 1700 Mardi Gras Blvd, New Orleans, LA 70114. Please practice social distancing and wear a mask.
