Alvera Marguerite De Lima

Alvera M. DeLima, age 94 and a lifelong resident of New Orleans, LA., passed away peacefully (day-month-date-year). Miss DeLima graduated from Touro Infirmary School of Nursing and worked as a Registered Nurse in the operating room at Ochsner Foundation Hospital, retiring in 1987.
Miss DeLima was preceded in death by her parents: Arthur J. and Elvina (Alvera) Winnie Petty DeLima, her sister Rita M. DeLima, her brothers Joseph A. Sr., Arthur J. Jr. and his wife Helen Landry DeLima, and her niece Jeanne. She is survived by her sister-in-law Theresa Urban DeLima, nieces and nephews Joseph A. Jr., Mary, Michelle, Arthur J. III & Margaret and her great nieces and nephew, Emma K. Holland, Michael & RitaMarie and their mother Elena. Miss DeLima had many devoted friends and she shared a long happy life with those she loved and cherished.
Family and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at 9:45 am on Thursday, April 26, 2018 at JACOB SCHOEN & SON, 3827 Canal St., New Orleans, LA. 70119. Visitation will begin at 8:30 am. Interment will follow the services at St. Roch Campo Santo Mausoleum, 1725 St. Roch Street, New Orleans, LA. 70119.
