Victor Christian Danielsen Jr., age 71, quietly passed away in early November. He is survived by his two children, Terry A. Dempsey (wife of Glen) and Victor C. Danielsen III (husband to Debra). Vic Jr. is the grandfather of seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Endeared as ‘Bud’ by family, he is also remembered by his sister and brother-in-law, Lynn and Eddie Pablovich, along with his niece, nephew and their families. Vic was predeceased by his father, Victor Christian Danielsen Sr. of Omaha, and mother, Gwendolyn Holthaus Danielsen (our beloved ‘Ducky’) of New Orleans. Vic grew up in New Orleans, but recounted fondest memories of time spent in Abita Springs. Upon high school graduation, he joined the Marine Reserves, worked for the NOPD, and then earned his B.S. in Accounting from LSUNO. Thereafter, he worked at Domino Sugar and other local businesses while raising his children with first wife, Marilyn, in Metairie. Vic retired from Jefferson Parish to reside in Mandeville. Appreciating nature’s beauty, especially our nation’s mountainous national parks; playing tennis; listening to music; perfecting his piano talent; and watching LSU Tiger football were some of Vic’s passions. He was a supporter of the Audubon Society and the Sierra Club. Family and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Service in the J. Garic Schoen Chapel of JACOB SCHOEN & SONS, 3827 Canal Street, on Thursday, November 30, 2017 at 12:15 PM. Friends may visit after 10:15 AM. Interment in St. Vincent de Paul Cemetery.
