Theodore John Puderer, “T.J.”, was born on September 13, 1936. After a brief but intractable bout of pneumonia he died peacefully and in the company of loved ones on January 17, 2018. T.J.’s life was a testimony to his personal fortitude and his profound faith. While he suffered from crippling cerebral palsy, T.J. served as the sacristan at St. Dominic’s Church for over 40 years, where he performed his duties with faithfulness and joy. T.J. had a wry sense of humor which he did not hesitate to visit upon friends and a love of a good meal equaled by none. It was universally believed by his friends that the majority of his body was hollow, allowing him to consume unrivaled quantities of food! T.J. never complained about adversity and was always ready to help someone else in need. His was a life well lived and there can be no doubt that when he arrived in heaven there were banners proclaiming “Welcome and Well Done My Good and Faithful Servant.”
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at 11:00 am on Wednesday, January 24, 2018, at St. Dominic’s Church, 775 Harrison Ave. followed by a Funeral Mass at 12:00 pm. Interment in St. Patrick #3 Cemetery. Arrangements by JACOB SCHOEN & SON. To view and sign the family guestbook, please visit www.schoenfh.com.
