Rena Chalupnik Hebert passed away peacefully on August 18, 2017 at the age of 77 after a long battle with cancer. Daughter of the late August and Marie Chalupnik, Beloved mother of Carl (wife Angela) and Patricia. She leaves a brother Ralph (wife Regina) and sister Ursel. Proud grandmother of Blane, Brian, Brandt and Brenda. Also survived by other relatives and friends. She was born in Germany and came to the United States when she was 18. She was always a person willing to help others and volunteered many hours at East Jefferson Hospital outpatient surgery after she retired. 
Visitation will begin at 10:00 am on Monday, August 28, 2017 with a service to follow in the J. Garic Schoen Chapel of JACOB SCHOEN & SON, 3827 Canal Street, New Orleans, LA at 12:15 pm. Interment to follow in Hope Mausoleum.
