Mary T. Slavich, loving wife, mother, and grandmother, 85, passed away July 26, 2017 after a long illness.  She was a native of New Orleans, and retired banking officer at First NBC bank.  Preceded in death by her father Luka Tesvich and mother File Cibilic, her husband Anthony J. Slavich,  and daughter Phyllis S. Hellmers.  Survived by brother, Peter J. Tesvich, sons Sam D. Slavich (Terry) and Anthony J. Slavich (Lori).  Grandson Sam D. Slavich, Jr. (Tambry), granddaughter Mellanie Merrit, and grandsons Brian D. and Kevin A. Hellmers.  Many nieces, nephews, and friends. A funeral Mass will be Saturday July 29, 2017 at 12:15 P.M. in the J. Garic Schoen Chapel at Jacob Schoen & Son Funeral Home, 3827 Canal St.  with interment to follow in St. Louis #3 Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 10 A.M. until Mass time.  Arrangements by JACOB SCHOEN & SON FUNERAL HOME.  Condolences may be left at www.schoenfh.com.
