Jon Charles Martin, 52, died Monday, April 24th 2017. He was loved by many and will be remembered for his contagious laugh.  Jon was a native of New Orleans and resided in Metairie with his wife Keppler Laudeman Martin and their pet Maggie May.  Jon was a proud usher of Zion Lutheran Church and a charter member  of Krewe d’Etat.  Vice President of Gaynell J. Martin Insurance.  He received a bachelor’s degree of insurance from University of Mississippi, and also received his CPCU, Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter designation from The College of Insurance in New York City.  Jon was preceded in death by his father Gaynell Jospeh Martin.  Survived by wife Keppler Laudeman Martin, mother, Gail Groff Martin, brother Michael Louis Martin, and nephews Michael William Martin and Gerald Louis Martin.  Visitation will be held Thursday, April 27 from 10am until 1pm at Zion Lutheran Church, 1924 St. Charles Ave.  Service to follow at 1pm.  A Christian burial to follow at St. John’s Cemetary, 4841 Canal St.  For those who wish, donations are requested to Zion Lutheran Church or the SPCA of Louisiana, www.la-spca.org.
