Frank C. Sheppard, Jr. entered into eternal peace on July 30, 2017. Mr. Sheppard was a New Orleans native and he lived in Old Jefferson on Newman Avenue for over 70 years. He graduated from Jefferson High School and he served stateside in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. After working for the railroad several years, he attended Delgado Community College and developed skills that led to the formation of Sheppard Builders, a general contracting business. His most proud accomplishments include building his own unique houses in his neighborhood and constructing the station house for the "Ragin' Cajun" roller coaster at Pontchartrain Beach amusement park in 1978.
 
Mr. Sheppard was preceded in death by his son Gerard E. Sheppard and his brother James A. Sheppard. He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Barbara, daughter Tiffany, and sons Frank III and Scott.
