Dale Gordon Simmons passed away Saturday, April 15, 2017, surrounded by his family. He was 74 years old. He was a lifelong resident of New Orleans. Beloved husband of Deborah (Debbie) C. Simmons. He is also survived by his daughter Bonnie (Terry) Meyer; grandchildren Ryan and Hannah Meyer; his brother Nolan (Kim) Simmons; nephew Kyle (fiancé Katie) and niece Laura Simmons; stepson Tommy (Casey) and Kaiden Lalonde as well as many dear friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Nola and Gordon Simmons. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend a visitation on Saturday, April 22, 2017 at JACOB SCHOEN & SON, 3827 Canal Street, New Orleans, LA from 9:30 a.m. to noon. A service will be held in the J. Garic Schoen Chapel at 12:15 p.m. He will be laid to rest in Garden of Memories Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, American Diabetes Association or St. John Lutheran Church.
